IS THERE FOOD AVAILABLE AT THE FESTIVAL?

Yes. There will be a festival kitchen and bar on site that serves nutritious, locally sourced vegan meals, and we strongly encourage you to buy their food tickets that are available for pre-purchase
here

*Please note that currently this is our only food option for the festival. You need to get your food ticket in advance already before WONDEREST to ensure the kitchen is prepared with enough portions, because as the area is quite remote, it will not be possible to purchase more ingredients once the festival begins. We also strive to minimise food waste and will only purchase the ingredient amounts needed for those who pre-purchased their food.

WHAT ARE THE FESTIVAL FOOD OPTIONS?

Menus include full vegan breakfast and dinner for the duration of the festival.
Food tickets are available separately on the ticket website.

CAN I BRING ALCOHOL TO THE FESTIVAL?

No, we have a Festival Bar where you’ll be able to buy wine, spritz, gin, G&T, pálinka, a special WONDEREST cocktail, coffee and soft drinks. The drink vouchers used at the bar are available here.

We’ll also have Bers Nova selling beer separately from the festival bar.

How does the drink voucher work?

You need to pre-purchase your drink voucher online and exchange it for a physical drink card at the festival site upon arrival. The bar’s drink selection will be available on site and your card will be stamped with the price of each drink, until it reaches the full value that you payed for. You can share the cards with each other, and once it fills up, you can buy another one.

NOTE: The Festival Bar ONLY operates with the drink cards, so individual drinks cannot be purchased without them. (The only exception is beer, which will be sold separately and individually.)

TICKETS AND WRISTBANDS

Tickets are issued as an E-Ticket, via email.
If you have any issue in finding your E-Ticket, please contact the ticket website.

Bring your festival ticket with you to the festival where it will be exchanged for a wristband. We can also scan your ticket on a mobile phone providing the bar code is clearly visible. The same applies for food tickets.

Your Parking Ticket will be given to you upon entry to the car park in the form of a dashboard label, in exchange for the parking fee payable to our staff in cash (20RON).

DO I HAVE TO CAMP?

No. Whilst all weekend tickets include camping as standard, once you have received your wristband you are able to come and go as you wish. So if camping isn’t your thing then feel free to travel up each day.

Larger than 4-person tents and gazebos are not allowed on our campsite.

CAN I BRING A CAMPERVAN?

Yes, but only in the designated offsite parking. Note that there are no facilities provided outside the festival area. You must also purchase a Parking Ticket. There will be no campervan facilities (showers, toilets, wash basin), only an area designated for campervan parking. Please note that this might be a fairly long walk from the campsite.

CAN I BRING A MOTORCYCLE?

Yes. Note that all vehicles are strictly confined to the designated parking area. These include motorcycles, cars, campervans, and any other motorized vehicle. You must also purchase a Parking Ticket (20RON) by cash upon entry.

WILL THERE BE LOCKERS OR A SAFE TO LOCK MY STUFF AWAY?

No. We advise all visitors to keep their personal possessions with their person at all times. The festival does not accept any responsibility for lost or misplaced items.

ARE CHILDREN WELCOME AT THE FESTIVAL?

Of course! We are a family-friendly festival so feel welcome to bring the kids along. Tickets for children under 10 are FREE with a paying adult and can be purchased on our ticketing site alongside the normal festival passes.

IS THERE AN AGE RESTRICTION?

Under-16’s must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.

ARE BBQS OR BONFIRES ALLOWED?

No BBQ’s are allowed in the campsite. Bonfires and any form of open fire, including Gas Powered BBQ, Spirit Burners or Cookers are strictly prohibited anywhere on the festival site with the exception of bonfires organised by festival staff.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

You can bring your dog under the terms that you will take full responsibility for the safety of the dog, other farm animals and festival goers. Note that the camp owners have a male guard dog on the location which might cause conflict with other dogs.

There are farm animals in the vicinity of the campsite, they should be left alone throughout the weekend.

CAN I SPOT ANY BEARS NEARBY IF I’M REAL QUIET?

No bears, just beers. There haven’t been any bears spotted in the nearby area.

Since the festival is located on a mountaintop, surrounded by nature, sightings of other wild animals is possible.

IS THERE WATER AVAILABLE?

Fresh tap water will be available free of charge from taps in the campsite and festival area. For drinking, we advise that you bring a reusable water bottle or cup to align with our zero waste policies.

Can I charge my phone at the festival site?

No, electricity will only be available for musicians and staff members for work purposes. There is no wifi in the area, and the site is located in an area without Internet access and very limited mobile phone range. We encourage you to use the time for joint conversations, inspirations and getting to know each other, or additionally bring a power bank to keep your phone alive.

IS THERE A CASHPOINT ON SITE?

No. Note that there are no ATMs in the vicinity of the festival area.

ARE THERE SHOWERS ON SITE?

Yes, there are showers available on the campsite.

WILL IT BE MUDDY?

The majority of the festival area is on a grassy field, including the Main Stage and campsite area, as well as the carpark. All of these areas are open to the elements. So should we have a typical Transylvanian summer, be prepared for a bit of mud. If it rains we will do everything we can to keep things comfortable, but we can’t promise your white T-shirt will leave the same colour it arrived.

CAN I SELL MY TICKET?

We don’t encourage or facilitate the resale of tickets. Please exercise extreme caution when buying or selling tickets on third party websites or from individuals.

CAN I VOLUNTEER AT WONDEREST?

If you would like to volunteer at this year’s festival, send an email over to volunteers@wonderestfestival.com

CAN I PLAY AT WONDEREST?

We are fully booked for this year, but feel free to hit us up to apply for next year with your EPK and best live music material at performing@wonderestfestival.com

CAN I TRADE AT WONDEREST?

Applications for traders for the Festival are open throughout the year. Please send over some photos of your stall, along with a menu or price list, to contact@wonderestfestival.com and we will be in touch if we are interested in hearing more from you.

HOW DOES THE COVID SITUATION AFFECT THE FESTIVAL?

We are very much planning to go ahead with the originally planned dates between 8-11 July 2021. In case the virus situation hinders our plan, our alternative date is 26-29 August 2021. The same festival passes will remain valid. We are very optimistic given our small size, and being in mid-summer. If we are obliged to cancel the festival for 2021, all festival passes will remain valid for 2022, as well as refund options.

HOW CAN I MEET THE FESTIVAL’S ECO-FRIENDLY GOALS?

Bring your own reusable bowl, mug, water bottle and cutlery with you.
Travel with others. It is not only better for Mother Earth but also cheaper and fun opportunity to socialise.
Avoid single-use items and only pack things you really need.

WILL THERE BE RECYCLING BINS ON SITE?

We operate with a “Leave no trace” policy. There won’t be a possibility to dispose communal garbage on the festival site. However, we will provide paper and metal recycling bins. All other waste is your own responsibility – if you bring communal/plastic waste, please keep it with you during the festival, take it with you when you leave, and dispose of it at the nearest station.
